Maglic is the highest although not the largest mountain in Bosnia and Herzegovina and one of the most beautiful mountain of Montenegro. One part of Maglić massif is placed on Bosnia and Herzegovina side, while it’s second part is on Montenegrin territory. Maglić peak has two summits, Bosanski Maglić (2386 m) peak on Bosnia and Herzegovina and Cronogorski Maglic (2388m) on Montenegrin side, which 2m higher than Bosnian Maglic summit. Officially the pride of the highest summit anyhow belong to Bosnian Maglic. Montenegrin part of Maglici s decorated by amazing beauty of Trnovacko Jezero (Trnovacko Lake) one of the most beautiful lakes in shape of the hart.
What to bring: Hiking boots or sturdy walking shoes are highly recommended; A day pack; Sunscreen; Fleece; Sun hat; 1 liter of water; A dry t-shirt/fleece; Rain gear (in case of rain); Camera; Some carbohydrates rich food such as bananas; hazelnuts; chocholate, some fruits, etc. It can easily happen that you experience three seasons in just an hour so be prepared.
