Prokoško Lake is nested 1636 above sea level, beneath the high Vranica mountain.
A crystal blue glacial lake, a unique ecosystem, traditional wooden houses (katuni), homemade food and great local hospitality will make you enjoy every second of this one-day tour. Already, the road to the lake from the nearby city of Fojnica is adventurous as you will be driving on gravel roads through a forest filled with small creeks.
In order to enjoy the full day we will leave from Sarajevo at 08:30AM from your location. First we will arrive in Fojnica and then a four-wheel-drive car will take you further to the mountain. This is a special experience in four wheel drive up and down the mountain.
In the village you will see a traditional way of living and have a chance to engage with local people. You can also order traditional, mountain-made (better than home-made!) local food, and drinks, and buy honey or organic tea.
